On March 30, 2025, St. Antony Ward visited Paschim Re-Hab Charitable Trust, Ullal as part of the Lenten season. 36 members participated, donating groceries and cash to support the ashram. The trust owner introduced their mission, and ward members entertained residents with a comedy skit and games.
ICYM Shamboor contributed ₹10,000 from SPL - Season 1 funds for an afternoon meal, with additional support from the ward. The ashram residents appreciated the gesture, making it a fulfilling experience. Later, the group visited Panambur Beach, enjoying a refreshing end to a meaningful day.

On the occasion of Lent, the Sacred Heart Ward organized a special Passion of Christ devotion by carrying the cross to every ward member’s house. This meaningful journey symbolized the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, allowing each family to reflect on His passion and deepen their faith. The event was conducted with great devotion and reverence, uniting the ward in prayer and spiritual renewal.🙏✨🎬

St. Joseph Ward celebrated its Annual Day on March 16, 2025, at 7 PM at Delphin Lobo’s residence. The event was hosted by Delvin Lobo and began with a prayer dance, followed by the lighting of the lamp. Chief guest Fr. Santhosh Dsouza, along with other dignitaries, graced the occasion. Wilson Fernandez, Lancy Crasta, and Fr. Santhosh Dsouza addressed the gathering, while Defnil Lobo presented the annual ward report. Joslin Lobo delivered the vote of thanks. The event featured cultural performances and games, hosted by Sujai Lobo. The evening was filled with fun, unity, and joyful celebrations.

The day began with a solemn Eucharistic procession, where the faithful gathered in devotion, reflecting on the grace and presence of Christ. The procession was followed by the Holy Mass, bringing the parish community together in prayer and thanksgiving. After the Mass, a special screening of the Konkani movie Lucky Draw 777, produced and directed by the talented Catholic youth of Kirem Church, was arranged for everyone to enjoy. The evening concluded with a fellowship dinner, lovingly organized by our church, strengthening the bond of our parish family. It was a truly blessed and memorable evening, celebrating faith, culture, and togetherness. 🙏✨🎬

The Catholic Sabha Shamboor Unit commemorated its 25th anniversary on January 12 at Shamboor Church, beginning with a Thanksgiving Mass led by Rev. Fr. Ivan Michael Rodrigues, Vicar Forane of Vittal Deanery. The event honored past and present leaders for their dedicated service, with Rev. Fr. Santosh D’Souza presiding over the ceremony. A cheque of ₹1 lakh was presented for children’s educational development, and the celebration concluded with cultural performances and a community dinner.

SPL Season 1, organized by the League Committee in association with ICYM Shamboor, was a grand success. The event saw four teams competing with great enthusiasm, showcasing remarkable talent and sportsmanship. Sparkle Boys emerged as champions, with Thunder Spikers as runners-up. The parishioners appreciated the thrilling matches and the excellent organization of the event.

We were blessed to have Rev. Fr. Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore, administer the Sacrament of Confirmation to 22 children of Shamboor. The Nativity Feast, celebrating the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, was joyfully observed at Shamboor Church with great devotion. As part of the celebration, Rev. Fr. Antony Clany Dsouza graced the occasion as the guest priest, adding to the spiritual significance of the feast.
